Les Misérables exhibition website
About the project
The State Library needed an exhibition site within a tight deadline for the Victor Hugo Les Misérables – From Page to Stage exhibition. The brief requested a one page site that was viewable across multiple devices. Whilst the materials cleared for use were scant, the Library wanted a visually rich, engaging site. Using the distinctive Les Misérables background image and overlaying character images and transparent text blocks, I gave the site greater depth and allowed it to be visually rich without the need for a large amount of images.
The design mock ups of the site were produced in HTML & CSS over a weekend and after approval, passed over to the developer for rapid development.
